Analyze recommendations performance with new self-service stats

Understanding and optimizing the performance of your product recommendations is crucial for driving sales and enhancing the customer experience. Having real-time insights into how recommendation widgets perform allows you to make data-driven decisions, continuously experiment with algorithm and format combinations, and refine your personalization strategy.

With our new self-service performance statistics, you can now track and analyze your recommendation blocks directly from the management interface, empowering you to take control and fine-tune product suggestions throughout the entire customer journey.

What’s changed

Forget the days of waiting for monthly reports – detailed stats on recommendation blocks are just a few clicks away. You now have access to all metrics for each recommendation block in real time, for any period, to make informed decisions swiftly and efficiently.

What metrics are available for analytics

Product recommendation stats include detailed information on impressions, clicks, conversions, and other insights that allow you to evaluate performance and make necessary changes. For each widget, you can access and track the following information:

  • Widget name with ID
  • Renders (displays)
  • Clicks
  • Views
  • Orders
  • Additions to cart
  • View rate (%)
  • Click-through rate (CTR, %)
  • Conversion rate (%)
  • Attributed Revenue

All reports can be easily exported in CSV format for further processing. You can download both summary statistics for the period and data for each block separately, grouped by days.

Note: In the “Total” section of the new self-service statistics, data on unique orders and revenue is available starting from May 2024. Unique purchases are counted once, even if they contain items attributed to different recommendation blocks. This helps you more accurately assess the impact of product recommendations on total orders and revenue.

Benefits of the new statistics

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of recommendations: analyze widgets’ clickability and compare the performance of different blocks to identify bottlenecks and test hypotheses for improvement.
  • Find the best placements for various widgets: if the viewability rate is low, consider raising the block higher on the page to ensure visitors see the recommendations.
  • Control the integrity and availability: if there are no statistics, check whether recommendation blocks are functioning correctly.
  • Improve design, layout, and content: adjust the design and product cards of recommendation blocks to increase conversion rates.
  • Optimize recommendation blocks: experiment with algorithms and formats to find the most effective combinations.
